Events Guidelines

Division of Responsibilities
DukeGEN will handle:
  • DukeGEN wide event marketing
  • Setting up LinkedIn RSVP pages
  • Facebook ads
  • Post event feedback surveys
Local organizers will handle:
  • Local marketing (via Duke Club, friends, others)
  • Securing a venue on the date
  • Hosting the event (start to finish)
  • Sending in an event summary
Principles
  • We have no budget (so find places that will let you host for free, often a bar)
  • Open to the entire Duke community (and some invited guests)
  • We prefer not to co-host with other organizations (like partnering with other schools)
    • These networking events are particularly for Duke alumni to connect with each other
