You're invited!  Attend our 17th DukeGEN Startup Showcase in New York City. The DukeGEN Startup Showcase is a great event for learning about entrepreneurship, seeing the latest Duke startups, and meeting other entrepreneurial Dukies.  We select several startups founded by Dukies to pitch to a panel of Duke investors. 
 
This event will be held on November 17th, 2017 at Yext (1 Madison Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10010). **Space is limited**

Panelists Lisa Burton, Pratt ‘07 Director, HearstLab Lisa Burton is the Director of HearstLab, a greenhouse for early stage, women-led startups in media and tech. Previously, she led data science teams at multiple startups in Austin and cofounded an adtech startup that leveraged data from social media to create customer insights. Lisa has a PhD and MS from MIT and BSE from Duke, all in Mechanical Engineering. Jenn Byrne, Trinity ‘93 President, Quesnay Inc. Jennifer has over 20 years of experience across the mobile, media, financial services and technology sectors. As an executive in both Fortune 100 companies as well as start-ups, she has led strategy, business development, partnerships, investments, product and marketing launches and developed and ran innovation programs, with a proven record of driving revenue, results and differentiation for her employers while building & supporting strong teams. Additionally Jennifer supports entrepreneurs through advising and investing in mobile-related startups, innovation platforms and accelerator programs in the US and internationally. Jonathan Drillings, Pratt ‘04 Principal, Riverside Acceleration Capital Jonathan has been working in, and around, enterprise software start-ups his entire career. He is currently a Principal at Riverside Acceleration Capital, a “non-traditional” VC firm focused on investments in early-growth stage b2b software companies. Prior to joining Riverside in 2016, Jonathan was a Principal with Comcast Ventures, the venture-capital affiliate of Comcast NBCUniversal. At Comcast Ventures, Jonathan invested behind a range of companies that leveraged data to drive efficiency and revenue within the enterprise. Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, he held roles in product management, sales and operations across two different New York venture-backed startups, Yext and Brightwire. Jonathan started his career with Sonenshine Partners, a New York investment bank, and spent several years in the Bay Area investing in growth-stage technology companies with Investor Growth Capital. Jonathan graduated from Duke in 2004 with a BME degree. Stephen Young, Fuqua ‘13 Manager, Lowe’s Ventures Stephen Young is a co-founder and manager of Lowe’s Ventures, the venture investing arm of Lowe’s Home Improvement. Stephen is primarily responsible for the sourcing, execution and analysis of venture investments around two main theses: the future of the home and the future of commerce. Prior to co-founding Lowe’s Ventures, Stephen worked at HGGC, a middle market private equity firm based in Palo Alto, California. He holds an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business as well as dual B.A. degrees in economics and politics from Utah State University.
